Clubhouse
We added optimization mode, allowing people on Roblox to select whether they want to optimize for performance, quality, or a balance of the two. We enabled users under the age of 13 to correct their age if necessary to ensure they’re engaging with content most appropriate for their age. We gave creators the ability to archive past Marketplace items without reaching out to Roblox for assistance, allowing them to better maintain their catalog of available items. Avatar creators can now merchandise and sell entire avatars on Marketplace; previously, they were only able to sell individual items. Creators can now enable automatic occlusion culling, saving performance by not rendering objects aren’t in the player’s view. Everyone on Roblox can now filter their charts by device and country, to help them find the right experiences and games.
- We expanded controller emulation in Studio enabling creators to test their experiences in VR including Quest 2 and Quest 3 without the need for physical hardware.
- Creators on Roblox can now see what changes their collaborators have made to their experiences in Roblox Studio.
- The real-time translation API allows creators to translate text into player’s local langues programtically, enabling better automatic localization of experiences.
- We improved Roblox Studio’s assistant functionality, expanding where AI generated scripts can be inserted in experiences.
- We improved debugging by giving creators insight into the number and type of API calls that might be impacting their experience’s performance.
Avatar item merchandising improvements
We introduced two new experience templates with premade functionality enabling creators to customize and build their vision faster. Creators can now manage groups of people they’re working with directly in Creator Hub, improving how creators collaborate on Roblox. We enabled creators to measure where and when people in their experiences make purchases, allowing them to optimize their monetization.
Redesigned events and updates on the Experince Details Page
- We launched Rights Manager that enables rights holders to protect their IP by requesting the removal of infringing content or assets.
- Everyone on Roblox can now filter their charts by device and country, to help them find the right experiences and games.
- We made the algorithm powering our ‘Recommended for You’ sort transparent, giving creators more insight into how they can improve their experiences’ discoverability on Roblox.
- We announced our Cube 3D platform, and launched it’s first capability that allows creators to generate objects in Studio.
- We overhauled Studio’s Explorer, the primary way creators use to manage and organize assets, by improving performance and eliminating most hangtime.
We launched V2 of our open-source voice safety classifer that introduces seven new languages and now has capabilities to allow for human labeling and fine-tuning. We improved Assistant’s capabilities to allow for script review and iteration, AI-powered debugging, and other quality-of-life improvements. From seamless avatar shopping to earning from in-experience purchases, we make it easy for anyone to participate in our virtual economy.
Accessory adjustment tooling
We began a test to increase the amount of server memory available to creators, enabling creators to create experience that can support more content and more players. We updated our genres to allow creators to more accurately pick the genres that fit their game, and help users find specific genres that they’re interested in. Creators now have access to Assistant, that can help auto-complete and edit scripts, insert objects into experiences, and more to help creators build faster. “Top Playing Now” is a new experience sort that offers a real-time view of the most popular experiences on Roblox based on concurrent users. We announced our Cube 3D platform, and launched it’s first capability that allows creators to generate objects in Studio.
Subscriptions with Experiences: Creator and Market Expansion
Creators can automatically rig, cage, segment, and skin 3D models in a few minutes, eliminating hours of manual work through the power of AI. We introduced a new curation unit to recommend new experiences to people on Roblox every day. We’ve partnered with Integral Ad Science (IAS) and Kantar Context Lab to verify that Immersive ads drive engagement with people who view them on Roblox. Our new aerodynamics system entered open beta, improving how objects move through the air & interact with the world around them. Creators can now add music to their experiences via our new integration with our partner Distrokid.
Historical population
We launched the material picker providing creators visual previews, powerful search, and intuitive filters, to make finding and applying materials is faster and easier than ever. Creators on Roblox can now see what changes their collaborators have made to their experiences in Roblox Studio. We increased the number of connections that a player can have on Roblox up to 1000, up from 200. Brands can purchase a 24-hour ‘takeover’ of the banner at the top of the afrodite casino the Roblox homepage, which serves the ad to everyone on Roblox whose over 13 years old.
We launched new capabilities for our AI assistant which is now able automatically add, remove, or change assets in a scene in realtime. Our audio API was fully released, enabling creators to build more complicated and rich audio interactions in their experiences. We launched a pilot test of a new Shopify integration, allowing select brands and creators to partner and sell real world items in game.
Improved sorting on Roblox Home
We launched the Friend Referral Program, that allows creators to offer rewards to player for inviting their connections to their experience. Our teams are building powerful, intuitive tools that empower millions of people of all skill levels to build and share their immersive creations with the world. We introduced a Developer Console tool to help creators debug and solve issues with memory usage and memory leaks. We released chat translations so that users around the world can communicate with each other, regardless of what language they speak. We made model improvements leveraging real-time and richer sequential user history to inform our recommendations system.
We started to roll-out automatic occlusion culling, improving performance by only rendering objects that are immediately in the player’s line-of-sight. Material generator moved out of beta to full release, enabling creators to utilize generative AI to create materials based on prompts. We began automatically archiving items in Marketplace that don’t comply with our Terms of Use or Community Standards to help maintain a healthy Marketplace without penalizing creators. Eligible creators can now run price tests to find the best price is for each of their in-game products, helping creators grow revenue without sacrificing user engagment.
Paid access and restricted games can now use Ads Manager to promote their game for better discoverability on Roblox. We made it easier for users to find new experiences and revisit experiences they’ve interacted with recently by introducing dynamic sorting on Home. We redesigned the events and updates tile on the Experience Details Page, making it easier for players to see what the event is about or what was included in the most recent update. Creators now have access to a dashboard that provides them an overview of all of the reviews and feedback their experience has received from their players.
We made it easier to merchandise items on Marketplace by improving lighting, and situating items in context. Eligible players who are over 18 years old can now gift and request Robux to and from other eligible players. Our goal at Roblox is to build the safest and most civil online platform, where everyone is empowered to create, learn, share, and thrive.
